CUSCO - MACHU PICHU RUINS / PISAC & OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS

4DAYS/3NIGHTS:

DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1			CUSCO Arrival, meet and transfer to the Hotel Afternoon City Tour of Cusco, (click) the archeological Capital of The Americas, and nearby ruins, Of Sacsayhuaman, (click ) only 4 Km from downtown Cusco. Following the road leading to the northeast, you arrive to Quenco (zig-zag) another great example of skillful Inca masonry. work. Tambo Machay, consisting of a beautiful ceremonial bath, popularly called "Bath of the Inca".and Puca Pucara meaning Red Fort.



Day 2			CUSCO / PISAC & OLLANTAYTAMBO / CUSCO This morning you will visit Pisac a picturesque town located 19.8 miles or 32 Km. northeast of Cusco. It is famous for its colonial Church where masses in Quechua are held every Sunday. Its colorful fairs also take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lunch included. In the afternoon you will tour the remarkable fortress of Ollantaytambo, built by the Incas. Suggestion: pack an overnight bag for Sacred Valley due to the limited space on the trains or cars for big luggage. The hotel will store your other luggage. Return to Cusco or overnight in the Valley (optional) Breakfast.



Day 3			CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO 07:20 am Transfer hotel to Ollanta train station The train goes through the Urubamba Valley or Sacred Valley of the Incas, to the fabulous mountaintop ruins of Machu Picchu.(click more info) Upon arrival to the station the buses wait to transfer you to the top of the ruins (30 minutes). A guided tour of the ruins gives you some idea of what the city must have looked. Lunch included. Afternoon train back to Cusco. Arrival to the station meet and transfer to your hotel. Suggestion: pack an overnight bag for Machu Picchu due to the limited space on the trains for big luggage. The hotel will store your other luggage. Return to Cusco or overnight in Aguas Calientes (optional)



Day 4			CUSCO – LIMA After breakfast check out hotel. Transfer to the airport for your return flight
